Service Description

Sessions will run from 1PM to 4PM on Tuesdays from March 25th to May 13th Cost is $285.00 per child. Includes 8 sessions Named after two fast growing trees, this Forest and Nature School Program welcomes children aged 10-14 years to meet up for exciting outdoor recreation opportunities connected to the wild around us. Teens are invited to participate in an inclusive community built on kindness while connecting to the natural world, to peers, and to themselves. Each session will offer a variety of organized games, fieldcraft workshops, creative art activities, mindfullness, or land-based learning plus time for free play, and exploration outdoors. Participants will be supported in developing self-awareness, self-confidence, communication skills, and leadership skills within a friendly community of peers. As we care for the land, for each other, and for ourselves, we will practice observing , listening, sharing, creative thinking, cooperation, risk-management, and environmental stewardship. "Larch & Willow" has a 1:5 adult:child ratio. Cost is $250.00 for the 8 session program. If this group ratio is not sufficient to support your child's safety or successful participation, please contact the program coordinator to discuss options. Want to support this program? Our programs run in all weather, and particiapants will have access to shelter as needed. Please send your youth dressed for the weather with a reusable water bottle, snacks, and a change of clothes in a backpack. This program requires a minimum of 8 participants to run. If there is insufficient registration, you will receive a full refund. *We have opened up registration to children 10 years of age whose parents have indicated that this would be an appropriate program for them.
